Autumn Onion 5K Costume Race

Autumn Onion 5K Costume Race is a Halloween costume race in downtown Montpelier, Vermont, held on October 31, 2026, starting and finishing at 89 Main Street with the gun at 9 a.m. The 5K is open to adults and youth. Gift cards from Onion River Outdoors go to the fastest male, female and non-binary runners as well as to youth and children, with further prizes for costume categories including funniest, most creative, most Vermont, best kid, and most committed to racing in an uncomfortable costume. Day-of registration is available and an online waiver is required.
