Beyond The Grave 5K

Beyond The Grave 5K is run after dark in Lake Mary, Florida, on October 24, 2026, through the lanes of a historic cemetery. The kids race, the Zombie Shuffle, goes off first at 6:55 p.m., and the 5K follows at 7:10 p.m. Every runner receives a flashlight headband and a race shirt, there is a costume contest with prizes for creativity, and proceeds go to the Rotary Club of Seminole County Sunset Scholarship Fund.

An evening 5K asks for a different routine than a morning race: keep your last meal small and a few hours back, and warm up properly, since a day at work leaves most people stiff. The distance itself is friendly to newcomers and still sharp enough to race hard if you are in shape. Four to six weeks of regular running with one faster session a week will cover it, and the light on your head means you can watch your footing rather than guess at it.
