About

Big Texas Ultra spreads over November 7–8, 2026 at Lake Georgetown, Texas, with every format starting and finishing at Russell Park. Friday opens with a 15K trail race at 9:00 a.m. Saturday carries the long stuff: a 100K championship for qualifiers at 7:00 a.m., the open 100K at 7:15 a.m., a 50K at 9:00 a.m., and a second 15K at 9:00 a.m.

The trails mix rocky, dirt and grassy sections, and between the terrain and the climbing the day is more demanding than the flat-Texas assumption suggests. For the 100K, plan on a long build with weekly back-to-back long runs and time spent on technical ground; the 50K works as a first ultra for a runner already comfortable at marathon distance. The 15K is the way to sample the same trails without committing a whole weekend.
