Boo! On Broad

Boo! On Broad is held in Statham, Georgia, on October 31, 2026, and pairs a 5K run/walk at 8:30 a.m. with a 1K fun run at 8:00 a.m. Both events begin on Broad Street and finish at the Statham Elementary School gym, and costumes are part of the day. Proceeds support the running clubs at Statham Elementary and Bear Creek Middle School, helping young athletes get the gear they need.

These are road distances, and the short point-to-point layout makes it easy for a family to run one race and cheer the other. If the 5K would be your first, four to six weeks of running three days a week is enough preparation. If you want a quick 3.1 miles, add one weekly session of five-minute efforts at goal pace and keep the rest of your running easy. The 1K works well as a first bib for younger kids.
