Chuckanut 50K

The course is a loop, with the first and last 3.7 miles mostly on easy gravel trail, while the middle 18.6 miles get a lot more interesting, with plenty of climbing, descending, mud, and fun for trail runners. It follows an out-and-back stretch of the Interurban Trail, then climbs the Fragrance Lake Trail, descends to Cleator Road, climbs Cleator Road (a dirt road with occasional traffic), continues along the gorgeous Ridge Trail and the muddy Lost Lake Trail past Cyrus Gates Overlook, and returns to the Interurban Trail via Cleator Road and Fragrance Lake Road.
