CraftHalf Half Marathon & 5K

CraftHalf Half Marathon & 5K returns to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on April 3, 2027, pairing endurance racing with the state's craft beer culture. Four formats are on the schedule: the half marathon (13.1 miles) at 8:30 a.m., a 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles) at 9:05 a.m., the timed Crazy One Mile at 10:00 a.m., and a Crazy Kids Dash at 8:30 a.m. There is also a combined entry, the CraftDouble, for runners who want more than one race.

Foothills Brewing and Junction 311 Endurance Sports host a block party alongside the racing, with live music, food, and craft beer from several breweries; entrants receive a finisher medal, a performance shirt, beer, and food. On the running side, the half is the day's serious distance and suits a first 13.1 or a spring time trial after a 10 to 12 week build with a weekly long run. The staggered starts also make the double genuinely doable, since the mile does not go off until well after the 5K field has cleared.
