DAVE'S 10-MILER & YETI 10K

DAVE'S 10-MILER & YETI 10K takes place in Delta, Ohio, on January 17, 2027. The 10-Miler (16.1 km) starts at noon and the 10K follows at 12:20 PM. Both start and finish at Pike Delta York Middle School and run on the roads around Delta, through open countryside. A hot lunch and showers are available afterward, and the event supports the North Western Ohio Rails-2-Trails Association, which maintains the Wabash Cannonball Trail in the region.

The race has a long tradition and a reputation for demanding conditions, which is exactly why it works as spring marathon training: a hard 10 miles in the middle of winter tells you far more about your build than another easy long run does. Run it as a controlled tempo effort rather than a flat-out race and you get the training benefit without the recovery cost. A noon start is unusual and worth planning your eating around.
