Earth Day Run

Earth Day Run takes place in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, on April 16–17, 2027, timed to coincide with Earth Day. The 5K run/walk and the 1K are held on the Friday, with the 5K open to solo runners and to teams, and the half marathon (13.1 miles) follows on the Saturday. A relay option lets groups split certain distances between them, and the 1K is aimed at the youngest participants.

The range of formats is the point here: one weekend covers a kids' race, a walkable 5K and a half marathon serious enough to be a spring goal. If the half is your target, count back 12 to 14 weeks and build a weekly long run toward 10 to 12 miles through a Minnesota winter, indoors or out. Teams entering the 5K or the relay can train together at conversational pace and still be competitive.
