Emerge 5K - CO

Emerge 5K - CO is a 5K (3.1 miles) run and walk held in Boulder, Colorado, on May 2, 2027, starting at 8:00 AM. Organized by Rise Against Suicide, it supports youth mental health and suicide prevention. The event is free and family-friendly, with a kids' area, speakers, local vendors and live music, and participants can honor loved ones using butterfly signs along the way. Funds raised go toward therapy support for young people in the community.

Walkers and runners share the course, so there is no pressure to race it, and the free entry makes it easy to bring a group. Boulder sits high enough that visitors from lower elevations will feel the thin air on the climbs, so ease into the first mile. Anyone wanting a time should still warm up properly before an 8:00 AM start.
