SoCal's Sunset Trick or Trot 5k/10K - Halloween Race

SoCal Sunset Trick or Trot 5k/10K is run in Huntington Beach, California on October 24, 2026. The youth half-mile zombie run goes first at 4:30 p.m., then the 10K (6.2 miles) and 5K (3.1 miles) run/walks start together at 5:00 p.m. The course runs along the ocean and is chip-timed. Entrants receive a custom medal, an event shirt and a goodie bag, and the day closes with age-group awards plus special prizes for the best costumes.

Evening starts change how you race. Eat your last real meal three or four hours out, keep the afternoon light, and warm up longer than you would at dawn. The 10K is the better test of fitness if you have been training consistently, while the 5K and the youth half-mile make the event workable for a whole family.
