Franconia Notch Half Marathon

Franconia Notch Half Marathon is run in Franconia, New Hampshire, on October 24, 2026 at 9:00 a.m., over the half marathon distance of 13.1 miles. The course follows the Franconia Notch Recreation Path, starting and finishing at Peabody Lodge in the Cannon Mountain ski area, with rolling hills and views of Echo and Profile Lakes, the Old Man viewing area, the Basin and Flume Gorge as it traces the Pemigewasset River. It is a traffic-free route, and a barbecue follows at Peabody Lodge.

Rolling terrain means this is not the place for an even-split personal best; run by effort on the climbs and let the descents come back to you. A 12- to 16-week build with a weekly long run reaching 10 to 12 miles, plus some hill work, will cover it. Proceeds go to Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country, which supports athletes with disabilities.
