Frozen 50K

Frozen 50K is held in Cassadaga, New York, on February 6, 2027, starting at 8:00 a.m. The format is built around flexibility: a scenic 3.1-mile loop around Lower Lake that you repeat anywhere from one to ten times at your own pace, with no time limit. Ten laps make up the full 50K (31 miles). Proceeds go to the Chautauqua County fire service.

A lapped course with an open finish line changes how you approach the day. You are never far from your drop bag, you can add or subtract a lap depending on how you feel, and there is no cutoff pressure — which makes this a sensible place to attempt a first ultra distance.
