The Glacial Trail Run takes place in the northern unit of Wisconsin's Kettle Moraine State Forest. The trails are hilly, with some rocks and other typical obstacles along the way. The course is unmarshaled, and runners will need to cross several roads; intersections are marked on the ground with arrows. Both the 50K (31 miles) and 50-mile distances follow an out-and-back route, beginning with a short stretch of road to reach the trailhead.
