Grandmaster Ultras

Grandmaster Ultras is held at Mesquite, Nevada, on February 26 and 27, 2027, on the Arizona Strip. The 100-miler and the 100K both start at 7:00 a.m. on Friday; the 50-miler and the 50K start at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday. Entry is reserved for runners aged 50 and over, and the event applies its own cutoffs by distance, with specific pacer provisions for participants aged 70 and over.

Running here means rugged ATV tracks through high desert country, with scenic viewpoints along the way and demanding loops that carry significant climbing. Aid stations are spread along the route to support runners across remote ground. Loop formats let you stage your own supplies and break the distance into manageable pieces, which matters on the 100-mile and 100K options. Train for time on feet on uneven surfaces and rehearse hydration, since desert terrain and long cutoffs put nutrition at the centre of the day.
