Greencastle Flyers Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk

Greencastle Flyers Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk is an annual Thanksgiving event in Greencastle, Pennsylvania, on November 26, 2026, supporting the Greencastle Flyers Youth Club. The 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles) starts at 8:30 a.m., preceded by a 1 Mile Kids' Race at 8:00 a.m. Registration and bib pickup take place in the Greencastle-Antrim High School gym. Awards go to the top three overall men and women and to age-group winners, and shirts are provided to those who register in advance. Refunds and transfers are not offered, participants must be present to collect shirts and awards, and every runner is expected to know the course.

Since organizers ask that you know the route, take a few minutes at packet pickup to study the course map, especially if you plan to race for an overall or age-group award. A six-week block with one weekly interval session and easy running on the other days is enough to sharpen up for a fast 5K, while walkers and beginners can prepare with regular 30-minute outings. With the kids' mile starting half an hour before the main event, families can cheer the children in and still line up for the 5K.
