Holiday Grinch 5K

Holiday Grinch 5K takes place in Puyallup, Washington, on December 6, 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m. The 5K runs through downtown, beginning and finishing at Firemind Brewing, and entrants are invited to turn up in Grinch costume. There is a community side to the morning: bring a new, unwrapped toy for children aged 5 to 14, and a post-race pancake breakfast raises money for the Skooklie Foundation.

Downtown streets make for a straightforward 5K, with turns and short blocks rather than long straights, so keep your effort even and use the corners to reset your rhythm rather than surge. If you are chasing a time, wear the costume loosely enough that it does not restrict your arms. If you are there for the day out, a walk-run pattern gets you round comfortably, and the breakfast afterward is arguably the main event.
