Lake Michigan Half Marathon

Lake Michigan Half Marathon takes place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on October 25, 2026. The half marathon (13.1 miles) goes off at 9 a.m., the 10K at 9:10 a.m. and the 5K at 9:20 a.m., with a Kiddos 1K at 8:45 a.m. and a 5K walk alongside the run. The course starts and finishes at Cupertino Park and heads south on the Oak Leaf Trail through the Milwaukee County lakefront parks, including South Shore, Bay View, Sheridan, Warnimont and Grant, before turning back.

Runners, walkers and ruckers all have a place here, and the mix of lake views, wooded paths and fall color makes for a day you can enjoy rather than survive. Because the route goes out and comes back the same way, you know exactly what the second half holds, which helps if you are pacing for a personal best. Twelve to fourteen weeks of consistent running with one long run a week is enough to show up ready.
