Louisville Candy Cane Course

Louisville Candy Cane Course is an annual holiday-themed endurance event in Louisville, Kentucky, on December 5, 2026, suitable for all ages. Five formats leave at 9:00 AM: a 15K (9.3 miles), a 10K, a 5K, a 1 Mile (1.6 km) and a kids dash for children ten and under. Entry brings a custom bib, a designer t-shirt and a finisher medal, with chip timing and live results, free photos and treats at the finish. A virtual option exists for those who cannot attend in person.

The 15K is the interesting choice here, a distance rarely offered and long enough to be a genuine test without marathon-scale preparation. Six to eight weeks with a weekly long run building to about 10 miles will cover it. Youth pricing is available, and registering early is recommended to be sure of shirt availability.
