Love in Action Run

Love in Action Run is a charity 5K held in Davie, Florida, on October 24, 2026. Alongside the 3.1-mile race there is a separate course for children, which makes the morning workable for a whole family rather than just the runner in it.

Community races like this one are a low-pressure way into road running. Nobody minds if you walk part of it, and the distance is short enough that a couple of months of running three or four times a week will see you through comfortably. If you would rather race it, the approach is simple: one weekly session of intervals at 5K effort, one steadier run, and easy mileage around them for about six weeks. Because the children have their own start and their own route, younger participants are not swept along by the main field.
