Magnolia Run takes place in Magnolia Springs, Alabama, on November 7, 2026. Three formats are offered: a 5K run and a 5K walk (3.1 miles), both at 8 a.m., followed by a 1-mile fun run at 9 a.m.
The course is a scenic one, running along roads lined with oaks, azaleas and historic homes, and it welcomes runners, walkers, strollers and dogs alike. The event is USATF certified, and proceeds go to local nonprofits. Awards are given by age group in the run and the walk, while every fun run participant gets a medal. Food and music follow the finish. For the 5K, a month of consistent easy running plus one weekly faster session is plenty of preparation.
