Mistletoe 5K Run/Walk

Mistletoe 5K Run/Walk is held in Saint Marys, West Virginia, on December 20, 2026. The 5K run (3.1 miles) starts at 2:30 p.m. and the walk-only 5K follows five minutes later at 2:35 p.m., both starting and finishing at Pleasants County Park on a paved course. Awards go to the leading male and female runners and walkers as well as to the top finishers in each age group, and the first 130 across the line receive a participant medal. Registered entrants can pick up a long-sleeve Dry-Fit shirt while supplies last.

Separating the runners and the walkers by five minutes is a small detail that makes a real difference: nobody is weaving through a crowd in the first quarter mile, and walkers get clear road. Pavement and an afternoon start make this a fair setting for a 5K time. Warm up for 15 minutes before a race that begins this late in the day, since sitting around beforehand leaves you stiffer than you think.
