Perry Rotary Turkey Trot

Perry Rotary Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving morning event in Canton, Ohio, on November 26, 2026, based at Central Catholic High School. The Little Gobbler Run for young participants starts at 8:00 AM, and the 5K run/walk (3.1 miles) follows at 8:40 AM. Every participant receives a commemorative medal and can choose a t-shirt, and the event draws runners, walkers, and their families each year.

This is a classic community 5K: accessible for walkers, quick enough for runners to fit in a hard effort before the holiday. If you are running it for time, use the 40-minute gap after the kids' race to warm up properly, since late November mornings in Ohio are cold. Newer runners can prepare with four to six weeks of easy running and expect to finish comfortably. Bringing children to the Little Gobbler Run first makes it a full family morning.
