Santa's Beer Run 5K

Santa's Beer Run 5K is set for December 19, 2026, in Salado, Texas, with the 5K (3.1 miles) starting at 10:00 a.m. Barrow Brewing Company hosts the event and Pro-Fit Race Timing runs the clock. The course starts and finishes at the brewery, goes through downtown and follows Salado Creek. Entry includes a shirt and a craft drink, with non-alcoholic options available, and the first 200 registrants receive a stackable commemorative medal that connects with the other medals in the series. Walkers, strollers and dogs are welcome.

With strollers and dogs on the road, this is a relaxed 5K rather than a cutthroat one, which makes it a sound pick for a first race or an easy tune-up between longer efforts. If you do want a time, the timed format still rewards a real build: three or four weeks of short intervals on top of your usual easy miles. Otherwise, run it, walk it, and stay for the drink at the brewery.
