Sweetwater Mission Santa Run 5K

Sweetwater Mission Santa Run 5K is a family-friendly run and walk through downtown Powder Springs, Georgia, on December 12, 2026. The single format is a 5K (3.1 miles) starting at 8:00 AM. Registration includes an event t-shirt and a pair of socks, participants are encouraged to turn up in seasonal attire, and dogs are welcome.

The race supports Sweetwater Mission, which works on hunger and homelessness and provides education and employment opportunities, and you can bring canned food donations for the local community on top of your entry. Because walkers, runners and dog handlers share the course, this is a good low-pressure first 5K; keep the leash short in the crowded opening stretch if you bring your dog. Runners after a time can still race it, but plan on threading through a mixed field for the first half mile.
