The Gobbler - Little Rock's Turkey Trot

The Gobbler - Little Rock's Turkey Trot is a free, family-friendly event held every Thanksgiving morning in Little Rock, Arkansas, on November 26, 2026. Organized by Rock City Running (RCR), it offers three distances that all start at 8:00 a.m.: a 6-mile, a 4-mile and a 3-mile run. There is also Tom's Tiny Trot for young children and a chance to meet Santa. The event supports the Arkansas Foodbank, and participants are encouraged to donate canned goods or money; donations also help cover the event's basic costs, and advance registration enters you into a prize drawing.

The courses are stroller-friendly with water stops along the way, and leashed dogs are welcome, which makes this a relaxed road outing for the whole family. Pick the 3-mile if you are walking or jogging with kids, the 4-mile for a solid holiday effort, or the 6-mile if you want a longer run before dinner. For the 6-miler, aim for a few weeks of consistent running with a weekly long run of at least that distance.
