Tidewater Striders Turkey Trot 10K & Mile

Tidewater Striders Turkey Trot 10K & Mile takes place in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026. Organized by the Tidewater Striders running club, the morning starts with a free 50-yard Toddler Turkey Trot at 8:00 a.m., followed by the Mile at 8:15 a.m. and the 10K at 9:00 a.m., with a competitive 10K walk starting alongside the run. Both the mile and the 10K come with long-sleeve shirts, refreshments and finisher medals, and awards go to the top runners in various age groups for both races. Proceeds support a scholarship fund.

This traditional road event welcomes families and runners of all levels, and the 10K is a natural target for anyone stepping up from 5K races or looking for a late-season 6.2-mile effort. The Mile is a fun option for kids or a fast sprint for speed-minded runners.
