Trail of Two Cities 5k Run/Walk

Trail of Two Cities 5k Run/Walk runs from Ocean City to Somers Point, New Jersey, on October 31, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m. Despite the name this is a road race: the 3.1 miles cover the full length of Route 52 on lanes normally given over to vehicles, a fast surface with wide views on either side. The awards ceremony is held at JFK Park in Somers Point, with prizes for the leading men, women and non-binary athletes and for the top three in each age group.

Point-to-point races need a little planning that loop courses do not, so work out in advance how you get back to your car or your bag afterwards. As for the race, an uninterrupted stretch of road closed to traffic is about as good as a 5K gets for a personal best. Go in with a target pace and hold it from the first mile.
