Troutman Gobbler Run 5K

Troutman Gobbler Run 5K is an annual Thanksgiving Day run/walk in Troutman, North Carolina, on November 26, 2026, organized by the Troutman Ruritan Club. The 5K starts at 8:00 a.m. and welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels. Registration includes a turkey-themed race shirt, a participation medal and a goodie bag. All proceeds go back into local initiatives such as scholarships, family assistance and technology equipment costs for schools. The top three male and female finishers are recognized, and medals are awarded by age group.

This is a community road 5K where walkers, families and competitive runners share the same start line, so you can approach it however you like: a relaxed holiday walk, a first timed race, or a shot at an age-group medal. For a strong run, four to eight weeks of regular training with one faster session per week is a solid plan; for a walk or easy jog, just show up ready to enjoy the morning in Troutman.
