Turkey Shuffle Austin

Turkey Shuffle Austin takes place at Flat Creek Estate in the Texas Hill Country, near Austin, on Saturday, November 28, 2026. Four options are on the schedule: a Kids Dash at 8:55 a.m., then the 1-mile run, the 5K and the 10K all starting at 9:00 a.m. The event runs on scenic trails and adds music, a costume contest and age-group awards, with wine samples for adults and treats for the kids.

Because the routes are on trails rather than roads, shoes with some grip are the better choice and your finishing time will be slower than on pavement. That suits the spirit of the day, which leans family-friendly rather than competitive: the Kids Dash and the mile give children a real start line, while the 10K gives regular runners something substantial. If the 10K is your target, six to eight weeks of running three or four times a week, with one longer run, will cover it.
