Waffle Run

Waffle Run takes place in Clovis, California, in the Fresno area, on Sunday, November 29, 2026. Two formats start at 8:00 a.m.: a 5K (3.1 miles) fun run/walk and a 2-mile run/walk. Both take you along the Clovis Old Town Trail, with the start and finish at California Health Sciences University. Afterward, you can sit down to a waffle breakfast at Huckleberry's. A portion of the proceeds goes to Poverello House, a local organization that supports people in need.

With a fun-run format and a trail-path setting, this is an event for every pace: families, walkers, and runners who want a relaxed outing after Thanksgiving. The 2-mile option is a good fit if you are just starting out or bringing kids along, while the 5K works as a first race goal or an easy effort for regular runners. Three or four weeks of consistent, easy running, building to 30 minutes at a time, is enough to enjoy the 5K, and you can always finish with a walk before the waffles.
