WGPAL Donut Dash 5K

WGPAL Donut Dash 5K is a 5K run/walk in downtown Winter Garden, Florida, on November 7, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m. The twist is on the course: eating donuts along the way takes time off your finish. The event benefits the Winter Garden Police Athletic League, which runs free summer camps and provides Christmas gifts for children in need. The morning also includes a kids' fun run, live music, sponsor tents and giveaways. Every participant gets a medal, extra medals go to the top finishers in several categories, and there is a prize for the best donut costume.

Take the donut bonus seriously and this stops being a normal 5K: the eating becomes the strategy, and running hard on a full stomach is its own skill. Run it straight and it is simply a festive downtown road race. Either way, a month of easy running three times a week is enough to enjoy it.
