Wicked Spooky 5k

Wicked Spooky 5k takes place in Asheville, North Carolina, on October 31, 2026, with the 5K starting at 9 a.m. The race begins and ends at Wicked Weed's Funktatorium on the South Slope of downtown Asheville, and it goes ahead rain or shine. Registration includes a Wicked Weed craft beer for participants 21 and over with valid ID, and early entrants also receive a commemorative shirt.

Costumes are part of the deal here, with prizes for the most creative, the most frightening and the most original, so this is a race to enter for the morning rather than for a personal best, though 3.1 miles is short enough that you can chase both. Proceeds support MountainTrue, which works on resilient forests, clean water and healthy communities across the Southern Blue Ridge.
