Amberly Sugar Rush

Amberly Sugar Rush is an annual community race in Cary, North Carolina, held on October 31, 2026, with three distances starting together at 9:15 a.m.: a 5 Mile, a 3 Mile and a Fun Mile. It can be done in person or virtually. Awards go to top performers, costume contests run alongside the race, and a raffle offers a year of free race entries to one man and one woman. Participants receive a t-shirt and a finisher gift, with further awards for fundraising and team participation. Proceeds benefit Special Olympics North Carolina.

Three distances off one start makes the choice yours on the day. The 5 Mile asks for a genuine training base, the 3 Mile suits anyone running regularly, and the Fun Mile opens the event to children and beginners.
