B-Town Turkey Trot

B-Town Turkey Trot is held in Bloomington, Indiana, on Thanksgiving morning, November 26, 2026, with a 5K (3.1 miles) starting at 8:30 a.m. The course uses the B-Line Trail through Switchyard Park, and the run/walk is professionally timed with age-group awards decided on time. Individuals and participants pushing strollers are both welcome. Pre-race activities and giveaways, optional donations to local nonprofits, and race shirts (including youth sizes) for those who register on time round out the event; the entry fee covers timing, course safety, and aid stations.

A park trail course makes for a traffic-free 5K, which is ideal if you are aiming for an age-group placing or a personal best. Warm up on the B-Line itself so you know the surface, and start under control. For newer runners, the stroller-friendly, walk-welcome setup takes the pressure off; six weeks of three run-walk sessions a week will have you ready. Bring a few dollars if you would like to make a donation on the day.
