BayCare Wobble Turkey Trot

BayCare Wobble Turkey Trot is held in Lutz, Florida, on Thanksgiving morning, November 26, 2026. The main event is a 5K starting at 7:00 a.m., followed at 8:15 a.m. by the 1(Tur)K, a one-kilometer (about 0.6 mile) run aimed at younger participants. Everyone is invited to run, walk, or wobble, ideally in Thanksgiving-themed attire. Each finisher receives a long-sleeve technical shirt and a custom medal, and awards are given across age groups. You can enter as an individual or as a team, with prizes for the largest teams, and proceeds benefit the New Tampa Family YMCA's Open Doors financial assistance program.

With a 7:00 a.m. start, the 5K rewards an early alarm and a quick warm-up jog. It is a good target for a first 5K: six to eight weeks of running three times a week, gradually stretching one run to about 30 minutes, will get you to the line comfortably. Faster runners can go for a PR before the holiday meal. Registering early is recommended to guarantee your shirt size.
