Cliff Hanger Run

Cliff Hanger Run takes place in the historic Northeast neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri, on October 24, 2026. The 8K and 5K both start at 9:00 a.m. and a one-mile walk follows at 9:05 a.m. The course runs along Cliff Drive, a Missouri state scenic byway known for its rolling terrain and striking natural surroundings, and it is a demanding route as well as a handsome one.

Distance options cover competitive racers and steady trainers alike, and every participant receives a Cliff Hanger shirt, a distinctive finisher medal, a personalized bib and professional race photographs. Rolling ground rewards patience: run the climbs by effort rather than pace and let the descents come back to you. Afterwards there are treats at the finish and time to talk with other runners at what has become a well-known Kansas City event.
