Day of the Dead 5K & Street Festival

Day of the Dead 5K & Street Festival is held in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, on October 31, 2026, with the 5K starting at 9:00 a.m. The run is paired with a street festival built around traditional celebrations, community altars and food trucks, plus traditional dancers, local vendors, a kids' art workshop, face painting and a costume dance contest. Proceeds benefit the Fox Road Boys & Girls Club.

Downtown road 5Ks reward a warm-up more than most people expect, since the first quarter mile is usually crowded and then suddenly is not. Line up honestly, hold something back for the second half, and you will pass people late instead of fading.
