Denver Veterans Day Run

Denver Veterans Day Run is held in Denver, Colorado, on November 14, 2026. The 10K (6.2 miles) run/walk starts at 9:00 a.m. and the 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk follows at 9:15 a.m., both in a city park in downtown Denver. The annual event honors local veterans, is recognized by the city as a significant Veterans Day activity and is open to all ages, pets included. A Rippetoe Ruck 10K is run in memory of Captain Russell Brian Rippetoe, and the Colorado Veterans Project organizes the day.

The 10K is the more demanding of the two and rewards specific work: eight weeks of running four times a week, one session of longer intervals such as five repeats of a kilometer, and you can hold pace to the finish. The 5K suits walkers, families and anyone bringing a dog.
