FRIGHTFUL FAIRWAY 5K (Fall Into Winter)

Frightful Fairway 5K is run in Cocoa Beach, Florida on October 24, 2026, starting at 7:30 a.m. Formerly known as the Fall Into Winter 5K, it takes place on a golf course with river views. Every participant gets a medal, a t-shirt and post-race refreshments, and Halloween costumes are encouraged. A virtual option is available: run the distance wherever you are, submit your time and have your race materials mailed to you.

Golf course footing is a different proposition from asphalt, so expect your splits to come in slower than on a road 5K at the same effort, and pick shoes with some grip. That makes it a poor choice for a personal best and a good one for a relaxed morning with a view. The 7:30 a.m. start is early, so get up in time to jog and run a few strides before the gun.
