Space Coast Marathon

Space Coast Marathon takes place in Cocoa Beach, Florida, in Brevard County, on November 22, 2026, with two road distances: a marathon (26.2 miles) with about 50 feet of elevation gain and a half marathon (13.1 miles) with about 20 feet. The course follows the coastline and passes through both urban areas and public parks, with ocean views along part of the route.

With almost no climbing, this is a course built for fast times. It is a strong choice for a first marathon, a personal-best attempt, or a Boston qualifier for runners who handle flat, repetitive terrain well. The trade-off with a flat course is that the same muscles work the whole way, so include some long runs on similar terrain during your 16- to 18-week build. Late November keeps the Florida heat in check, but coastal humidity can still be a factor, so rehearse your hydration and fueling plan on your longest training runs.
