About

Salt Creek 24 is staged at the Salt Creek Recreation Area in Port Angeles, Washington, on October 24, 2026, organized by Peninsula Adventure Sports together with the Rain Bear Running Club. The 24 hour event starts at 8:30 a.m. and a Last Runner Standing format goes off at 9 a.m. You can enter solo as a runner or walker, put together a relay team, or take on the timed format, with the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Peninsula around you. There is a well-stocked aid station, limited tent space and the option to camp, plus published refund and insurance choices.

Timed and last-one-standing formats reward patience and logistics far more than speed. Plan what you will eat every hour, pack dry clothes and a headlamp for the overnight section, and start slower than feels reasonable. Long runs on back-to-back days prepare the legs better than a single long effort.
