Seven Oaks Travel Trot 5K

Seven Oaks Travel Trot 5K is a community event held by Seven Oaks Classical School in Ellettsville, Indiana, in Monroe County, on October 24, 2026, with the 5K starting at 10 a.m. It raises money for school trips to Washington, D.C. and Europe, and takes entries from every age group, runners and walkers alike. Chili, baked goods and hot drinks are served afterwards, and awards go to the leading finishers.

School-based 5Ks draw a wide range of abilities, so do not judge your effort by the people around you in the first half mile. Run the opening mile at a pace you could sustain for twenty minutes and pick people off later. Six weeks of three or four runs a week with a single hard session is more than enough preparation, and the 10 a.m. start makes for a relaxed morning.
