The Frosty 5K

The Frosty 5K is held at Twin Lakes Park in Sarasota, Florida, on December 19, 2026, with the Frosty 5K (3.1 miles) starting at 8:00 a.m. The course is paved and flat, and it welcomes runners and walkers of every level. Every finisher gets a medal, and entry includes a long-sleeve race shirt in a range of sizes. Awards go to the overall and age-group winners as well as the most creative costumes, and a post-race party with food and drink follows. Flat and paved is exactly what you want when you are hunting a personal best, so this is a fair place to test 5K fitness. Break it into three even miles, hold back slightly on the first, and spend what is left over the last half mile.
